Titus Vibe-Müller
Titus Vibe-Müller (17 October 1912 – 19 May 1986) was a Norwegian film director. He was born in Kristiania. Among his films are ''To liv'' from 1946 (jointly with Finn Bø), ''Kampen om tungtvannet'' from 1948, which he co-directed with Jean Dréville, a French/Norwegian co-production documenting the Norwegian heavy water sabotage during the Second World War, ''Marianne på sykehus'' from 1950, and ''Flukten fra Dakar'' from 1951. He made a number of television documentaries with zoologist Per Høst Per Høst (5 December 1907 – 28 December 1971) was a Norwegian zoologist, film producer and non-fiction writer. Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Finn Bø
Finn Bø (4 July 1893 – 24 April 1962) was a Norwegian songwriter, revue writer, playwright, journalist, instructor and theatre critic. Career Bø is particularly remembered for his song Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått, which became extremely popular in 1945. Among his other popular songs are "Nå går'n på gummisåler" and "Bare rundt omkring", both from 1928. He published the anecdote collection ''Forbuden frukt'' in 1945, and the song collection ''Jeg tar mig den frihet'' in 1946. Several of his plays were also adapted into films. Personal life His parents were Johan Christian Andreas Bø (1850–1924) and Valborg Hansen (1863–1910). He married Alfhild Knagenhjelm Poppe in 1930. Norwegian Heavy Water Sabotage
The Norwegian heavy water sabotage ( nb, Tungtvannsaksjonen; nn, Tungtvassaksjonen) was a series of Allied-led efforts to halt German heavy water production via hydroelectric plants in Nazi Germany-occupied Norway during World War II, involving both Norwegian commandos and Allied bombing raids. During the war, the Allies sought to inhibit the German development of nuclear weapons with the removal of heavy water and the destruction of heavy-water production plants. The Norwegian heavy water sabotage was aimed at the 60 MW Vemork power station at the Rjukan waterfall in Telemark. The hydroelectric power plant at Vemork was built in 1934. It was the world's first site to mass-produce heavy water (as a byproduct of nitrogen fixing), with a capacity of 12 tonnes per year. Per Høst (5 December 1907 – 28 December 1971) was a Norwegian zoologist, film producer and non-fiction writer. Personal life Høst was born in Oslo, Kristiania as a son of Hans Andreas Høst (1874–1944) and fish food producer Ragna Julie Pedersen Svenneby (1872–1959), and was a brother of Haakon Høst. He grew up at Stabekk, examen artium, finished his secondary education at Stabekk Upper Secondary School in 1927 and studied science from 1927 to 1931. He was married to Rita Thornborg from 1941 to 1948, then Ann Mari Strugstad Rolf from 1951 to 1960. The latter was a daughter of the late entertainer Ernst Rolf. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957.
