Tittsworth
Jesse Tittsworth (born 26 February 1979), better known under his stage name Tittsworth, is an American DJ, producer, night club owner, and record label owner. He has worked on projects with Q-Tip, Theophilus London, Pitbull, Kid Sister and Alvin Risk. He co-foundeT&A Records Hermanito Label, and U Street Music Hall. Career Tittsworth established his own record label, T&A Records, in 2006 with his partner, DJ Ayres. T&A Records has played an important role in cultivating multiple movements in dance music, especially Baltimore club and Moombahton. Tittsworth has released over a dozen vinyl records, including Ammo's last release (A-Trak's battle imprint), a highly sought after white Serato record and a variety of dance records since 2005. Tittsworth's debut album is called ''12 Steps''. The LP featured Pitbull, Nina Sky, Kid Sister and The Federation. Dave Nada
David Villegas, better known professionally as Dave Nada, is an Ecuadorian-American DJ and producer credited with creating the fusion-genre Moombahton. He is a member of the production and DJ duo Nadastrom and co-founder of Hermanito Label along with Jesse Tittsworth. Career Originally from College Park, Maryland, Nada began his music career in DC-area hardcore bands including De Nada, Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission, Medic, and Bison. He started as a radio DJ while going to college at the University of Maryland for 88.1 WMUC which led to his interest in production and being a DJ. In the early 2000s, Nada met Jesse Tittsworth through a mutual friend and was invited to spin at his party, Crunk, in Washington D.C. He went on to host TaxLo in Baltimore. U Street Music Hall
U Street Music Hall was a dance club and live music venue founded in 2010 and located in the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C.. Artists and DJs booked at U Street Music Hall spanned the spectrum of electronic music, including house, disco, techno, bass and electro. It is often referred to as "U Hall". Moombahton
Moombahton (, ) is an electronic dance music genre, derived from house music and reggaeton, that was created by American DJ and producer Dave Nada in Washington, D.C., in 2009. Nada coined the name as a portmanteau of "Moombah" (a track by Surinamese house DJ Chuckie and Dutch producer/DJ Silvio Ecomo) and reggaeton (itself a neologism combining reggae with the Spanish suffix ''-ton'', signifying big). Characteristics Identifying characteristics of moombahton include a thick and spread-out bass line, dramatic builds, and a two-step pulse with quick drum fills. Occasionally moombahton includes rave music synthesizers and a cappella rap samples. Melissa Young (born July 3, 1980), known professionally as Kid Sister, is an American rapper based in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her single " Pro Nails", which features Kanye West, and for her work as a member of the British music collective Sault. Biography Kid Sister was born Melisa Young on July 3, 1980 in Markham, Illinois. She started to rap in October 2006, becoming an MC at monthly dance parties hosted by DJ duo Flosstradamus (Josh Young, of Flosstradamus, is Melisa's brother), who were featured in MTV's ''My Block'' that same year. Alvin Risk
Marcio Alvarado, better known by his stage name Alvin Risk, is an American electronic music producer, singer and DJ from Washington, D.C., United States. He has released music on Owsla, Dim Mak, and Ministry of Sound. He has also released under the label Memory LTD. Risk is the brother of Painted Face, singer and producer Allie Alvarado. Alvin Risk was on the radio show DVDASA on January 15, 2014. Career Risk was a founding member of the band Corrupt Souls, a drum and bass group from Washington D.C., United States which was active from 2004 to 2007. The Federation is an American hip hop group from Fairfield, California. The group was formed in 2002, composed by producer Ricardo "Rick Rock" Thomas and consists of three rappers: Anthony "Goldie Gold" Caldwell, Marvin "Doonie Baby/Doon Koon" Selmon and Thomas "Stressmatic" Jackson.
