Ernesto Duarte Hernández known as Tito Duarte (born Havana, Cuba, August 7, 1946 - died Córdoba, Spain, July 14, 2003), was a Cuban musician, instrumentalist and arranger. Artistic career Tito Duarte was the son of composer and director Ernesto Duarte Brito, who worked with artists such as Benny Moré and Celia Cruz, as well as working as a director in record companies in the middle of the 20th century. The Duartes left Cuba and settled in Madrid after Fidel Castro's revolution. His father worked for the RCA label, while he, who had already played with his father's orchestra in Cuba, revealed himself as an instrumentalist and arranger. Tito Duarte played percussions, sax, flutes, keyboards, bass, and was also an arranger for songs of various bands, such as Barrabás (founded by Fernando Arbex), and Miguel Ríos' band (''Concierto de Rock y Amor'', 1972). Ernesto Duarte Brito (Jovellanos (Cuba), November 7, 1922 – Madrid, Spain, March 4, 1988) was a Cuban musician, author of the bolero ''Cómo fue'', whose performance by Benny Moré became very famous. There are many versions of this bolero all over the world. He was the father of the multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger Tito Duarte. Artistic career He was a composer and producer, conductor and arranger. Ángela Altagracia Carrasco Rodríguez (born January 23, 1951) is a People of the Dominican Republic, Dominican singer. Carrasco was born in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. At age 7, she first appeared in an advertising world, singing the theme for a drink to a tune that composed by Salvador Sturla. Carrasco was part of a group of Latin American divas in the 1970s, including Susana Giménez, Charytín Goyco, Iris Chacón, Ednita Nazario, and Yolandita Monge. It was the band's ninth album, and the last for several years before a return to recording in the 1990s. ''Barrabás'' is the sixth album by the Spanish group Barrabás, released in 1977. It was the last album before the group's four-year hiatus, and the last to feature several band members including Ricky Morales, Juan Vidal and Daniel Louis. American jazz musician Herbie Mann featured in the recording of the album, after his hit cover of Barrabás' song " Hi Jack", which was released earlier that year. Also appearing was American saxophonist Michael Brecker. The album is sometimes known as ''Swinger'', after the opening track. ''¡Soltad a Barrabás!'' is the third album by the Spanish group Barrabás, released in 1974. The album was originally released as ''Release Barrabás'' or ''Hi-Jack'' in some other countries, but the modern CD release retains the Spanish title. Lucrecia (singer)
Lucrecia Pérez Sáez is a Spanish-Cuban singer born in Havana who currently lives in Sitges (Barcelona). She was born in Santo Suarez neighborhood in Havana, and passed her childhood in Guanabacoa, a township within the province of La Habana. She has worked in various movies and with several long established artists, including Celia Cruz, Chavela Vargas, Joaquín Sabina, Andy Garcia, Manzanita or Lluís Llach. Artistic career At the early age of seven, Lucrecia began studying piano and music and was certified with a specialty in piano at the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba. She studied singing with Isolina Carrillo, the composer of the famous bolero "Dos Gardenias", popularized in Spain by Cuban singer Antonio Machín.
