Titanic (1996 TV Miniseries)
''Titanic'' is a 1996 American two-part television miniseries which premiered on CBS on November 17 and 19, 1996. It focuses on several characters aboard the RMS ''Titanic'' during her maiden voyage in 1912. The miniseries was directed by Robert Lieberman. The original music score was composed by Lennie Niehaus. Plot ''Titanic'' follows three main story threads. Isabella Paradine is traveling on the ''Titanic'' to join her husband after attending her aunt's funeral in the United Kingdom. On the ''Titanic'', she meets Wynn Park, her former lover. She falls in love with him again, and after a brief affair, she sends her husband a wireless saying they cannot be together anymore (despite their daughter). When the ship starts sinking, Isabella reluctantly leaves Wynn when he forces her to board a lifeboat. Robert Lieberman
Robert Lieberman (born July 16, 1947) is an American motion picture and television director. Personal life Lieberman was married from June 27, 1990 to June 7, 2001 to actress Marilu Henner; the divorced couple has two children, Nicholas Morgan and Joseph Marlon. He also has two children, Erin and Lorne Lieberman, from his first marriage. Lieberman married former model Victoria Peters in 2010. Career Lieberman was the founder of the commercial production company Harmony Pictures and has, himself, directed close to two thousand commercials. He has received many Clio nominations and has won 29. Lieberman in 1980 was the first winner of the DGA Award for Best Commercial Director. RMS Carpathia
RMS ''Carpathia'' was a Cunard Line transatlantic passenger steamship built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson in their shipyard in Wallsend, England. The ''Carpathia'' made her maiden voyage in 1903 from Liverpool to Boston, and continued on this route before being transferred to Mediterranean service in 1904. In April 1912, she became famous for rescuing survivors of the rival White Star Line's after the latter struck an iceberg and sank with the loss of between 1,490 and 1,635 people in the North Atlantic Ocean. The ''Carpathia'' navigated the ice fields to arrive two hours after the ''Titanic'' had sunk, and the crew rescued 705 survivors from the ship's lifeboats. The ''Carpathia'' was sunk during World War I on 17 July 1918 after being torpedoed three times by the German submarine off the southern Irish coast, with a loss of five crew members. Michael Doyle (born September 16, 1972) is an American actor. He is mainly known for his role on '' Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'' as Ryan O'Halloran and since 2018 on New Amsterdam as Martin McIntyre. Margaret Brown (née Tobin; July 18, 1867 – October 26, 1932), posthumously known as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown", was an American socialite and philanthropist. She unsuccessfully encouraged the crew in Lifeboat No. 6 to return to the debris field of the 1912 sinking of RMS ''Titanic'' to look for survivors. During her lifetime, her friends called her "Maggie", but even by her death, obituaries referred to her as the "Unsinkable Molly Brown".
