Tippett is a populated place in White Pine County, Nevada. It lies at an elevation of in Antelope Valley, south of the Goshute Indian Reservation. History Tippett was the location of a U. S. Post Office, from May 1896 to Dec 1913, and from June 1914 to June 1926. It was also located along the original 1913 alignment of the Lincoln Highway The Lincoln Highway is the first transcontinental highway in the United States and one of the first highways designed expressly for automobiles. Conceived in 1912 by Indiana entrepreneur Carl G. Fisher, and formally dedicated October 31, 1913 .... Today Tippett seems to be the site of a farming enterprise. White Pine County, Nevada
White Pine County is a largely rural, mountain county along the central eastern boundary of the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2010 census, the population was 10,030. Its county seat is Ely. The name "(Rocky Mountain) white pine" is an old name for the limber pine (''Pinus flexilis''), a common tree in the county's mountains. The county boasts dark skies, clean air and millions of acres of unspoiled public land. It is the home of Great Basin National Park, one of America's most remote and least visited national parks. The valley curves around the Dolly Varden and Kinsley Mountains, and the Antelope Range. The valley is separated into two sections north and south, with an unnamed badlands region, at (though labelled as such) between eastern mountain ranges on its central-east perimeter. These badlands are on the Nevada/Utah border and southeast of Ferber Hills a small range of hills, mostly in Elko County, Nevada and partially in Tooele County, Utah. Goshute Indian Reservation
The Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation is located in Juab County, Utah, Tooele County, Utah, and White Pine County, Nevada, United States. It is one of two federally recognized tribes of Goshute people, the other being the Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians of Utah. Government The tribe's headquarters is in Ibapah, Utah, which is an English adaption form a native Goshute term, either from Ai'ba-pa (one name of the last chief of the tribe who was also known under the common chieftain name ''ta'bi'') or from Ai-bim-pa / Ai'bĭm-pa ("White Clay Water" referring to the nearby Deep Creek).
