Tipperary Senior Hurling Team Season 2013
The 2013 season was Eamon O'Shea's first year as manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team. On 25 September 2012, he succeeded Declan Ryan as manager. A panel of 26 players was announced in December 2012 to prepare for the Allianz Hurling League. In February Shane McGrath was appointed as captain for the 2013 season. Tipperary's first Championship game came against Limerick on 9 June, where they were defeated 1-18 to 1-15 at the Gaelic Grounds. In phase 2 of the All-Ireland qualifiers on 6 July 2013, Tipperary were eliminated from championship after a 1-14 to 0-20 defeat to Kilkenny at Nowlan Park. Tipperary County Hurling Team
The Tipperary county hurling team represents Tipperary in hurling and is governed by Tipperary GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Tipperary's home ground is Semple Stadium, Thurles. The team's manager is Liam Cahill. The team last won the Munster Senior Championship in 2016, the All-Ireland Senior Championship in 2019 and the National League in 2008. Kieran Bergin
Kieran Bergin (born 23 January 1986) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Clonmel Óg and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team since 2013. Bergin is a nephew of Jack Bergin, who was a Tipperary selector when they won the All-Ireland title in 2001, he is also a first cousin of former Galway Footballer Joe Bergin. Bergin has also played with the Tipperary senior football team and was part of the panel for the 2013 McGrath Cup. Bergin went to the United States to live in 2005 and spent five years living in New York City and two years in San Francisco before returning to Ireland in 2012. Career Bergin previously played minor hurling with Tipperary in 2003 and 2004 and won a Munster Minor Hurling Championship medal in 2003 from the midfield position. Conor O'Mahoney
Conor O'Mahony (born 18 October 1984) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Tipperary senior team from 2005 up to 2015. O'Mahony made his first appearance for the team during the 2005 National League and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. During that time he has won one All-Ireland winners' medals, five Munster winners' medals, one National Hurling League winners' medal, two Fitzgibbon Cup medals, one Railway cup medal, two Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship medals, two Munster Minor Hurling Championship medals and two All-Star awards. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. At club level O'Mahony plays with the Newport club. Templederry Kenyons GAA
Templederry Kenyons GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Templederry. History Templederry affiliated as a club in 1887 with FR J. Frost C.C. and James Coughlan of Latteragh the leading organisers. However, from 1906 to the end of the 1920s the club had very little success. In 1931, a re-united Templederry parish team reached the North Tipperary Intermediate hurling final for the first time and had a comprehensive 7–4 to 3–3 victory over Roscrea. Templederry then went up to Senior but were unable to make the breakthrough and returned to Intermediate ranks in the late 1930s. Thomas Stapleton (hurler)
Thomas Stapleton (born 22 February 1988) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a right wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Stapleton made his first appearance for the team during the 2007 National League and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. Since then he has won one Munster winners' medal on the field of play. At club level Stapleton is a county intermediate championship medalist with Templederry Kenyons. Thurles Sarsfields GAA
Thurles Sarsfields is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred in the town of Thurles at Semple Stadium. The club was founded in 1881 and is the most honoured club in the history of the county championship with 36 County Titles. Michael Cahill (hurler)
Michael Cahill (born 3 January 1989) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a left corner-back for the Tipperary senior team. Cahill made his first appearance for the team during the 2009 National League and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. During that time he has won two All-Ireland winners' medals, four Munster winners' medals and one All-Star award. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. At club level Cahill is a six-time county club championship medalist with Thurles Sarsfield's and has also won the Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship on one occasion. Mullinahone-CJ Kickhams GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association located in Mullinahone, south County Tipperary, Ireland, close to the border with County Kilkenny. The Mullinahone Club is named in honour of Charles J. Kickham, "Poet and Patriot", who was born in the village. Paul Curran (hurler)
Paul Curran (born 11 November 1981) is an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Mullinahone, County Tipperary, Curran first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams as a dual player before later joining the under-21 hurling side. He joined the senior panel during the 2001 championship. Curran subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal, four Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Curran won one Railway Cup medal. Éire Óg Annacarty GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Anacarty & Donohill, in west County Tipperary in Ireland. History The Éire Óg club's most notable player of the modern era is Pat Fox, All-Ireland medallist for senior hurling in 1989 and 1991 during which period he was a leading scorer in the All-Ireland and Munster Championships.
