Tipong Pinoy
''Tipong Pinoy'' () is a Philippine television informative show broadcast by GMA Network. It was produced by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It is a 30-minute youth-orientated magazine-style show which features different aspects of both traditional and contemporary Filipino culture such as food, pop culture, beliefs and arts. Wency Cornejo and the late Susan Calo-Medina were the show's presenters. Reruns of ''Tipong Pinoy'' are currently aired on the Knowledge Channel. It was formerly aired on IBC and The Mabuhay Channel. Television in the Philippines was introduced in October 1953 upon the first commercial broadcast made by Alto Broadcasting System (now ABS-CBN), making the Philippines the first Southeast Asian country and the second in Asia to do so. Alfredo Paolo Dumlao Vargas III (born October 24, 1979), professionally known as Alfred Vargas, is a Filipino politician, actor, and model serving as the representative of Quezon City's 5th district since 2013. The Mabuhay Channel was a Filipino language channel that broadcasts to Filipinos abroad. It was created exclusively for Filipinos living in the United States by Philippine Multimedia Systems, Inc. (PMSI), the only DTH satellite broadcaster in the Philippines, operator of now-defunct Dream Satellite TV and by-then sister company of the Associated Broadcasting Company. The Mabuhay Channel featured a wide array of programming from movies, music, sports, entertainment, current affairs to children's and lifestyle programming. Knowledge Channel (abbreviated as KCh) is a Philippine free-to-air television channel owned by ABS-CBN that consists of educational and informative programs.
