Tiny And Crew
Tiny and Crew is a British pre-school series which aired on Tiny TCC. Tiny TCC was replaced in 1997 by Living TV's time slot Tiny Living where the show continued. The Crew Tiny was a huge yellow yeti (Known in the series as a Wigasaurus) Tiny had bright blue hair and was known for being larger the life. Tiny had a fixed age of just five years in the show. Tiny could not speak any English but as children would see he loved to learn new things about life. Tiny was joined by Dog, a puppet dog who loved nothing more than bones and playing hide and seek. Arabella, a puppet frog who would sometimes come across a little bossy but loved to try new things. The buddets, flowers who were known for their singing. It was not until the last series that they were seen to come alive. Tiny was joined by presenters Sarah Davison and Sophie Aldred (Sophie Socket.) Words And Pictures (BBC Series)
Words and Pictures is a British children's literacy television programme which aired as part of BBC Schools, starting in 1970. 1970s The series began in March 1970 as a spin-off from the BBC schools programme, Look and Read, which was already providing the same type of practice and encouragement for older children. The first series was presented by Gabriel Woolf and set in an attic full of toys, who have adventures related to phonics. Two episodes aired each week, one ("Programme A") at the start and the other ("Programme B") at the end. This was meant to cater for younger children and allowed teachers to do some follow-up work in the classroom in between. A total of 16 episodes aired. The second series started airing weekly in 1972, for 20 episodes. The format and presenter changed, the second series being about a young man called Sam Samson (played by Tony Robinson) who daydreams about an island inhabited by "Boffs". The Children's Channel, also known as TCC, was a British-based pan-European children's television channel in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which was owned by Flextech in London, England, UK. ''Zzzap'' (rendered ''ZZZap!'') is a British children's television comedy programme. The concept of the show is a giant 18 ft comic that has been brought to life. The show was broadcast on ITV from 8 January 1993 until 21 September 2001 and was produced for ten series by The Media Merchants and Meridian Broadcasting. Format The programme follows the same format throughout its run. A title intro is shown consisting of a couple of short clips for each character from the series. It is then followed by a series of short two- or three-minute-long segments, followed by the credits. Each segment is introduced by the camera zooming in on a corresponding panel on a giant comic, shot in reverse (e.g.: The Camera starting at the Panel, and pulling back) and then played in reverse. This giant comic has a set of nine frames on it, some of which contain a character representing their segments.
