Tine Urnaut
Tine Urnaut (born 3 September 1988) is a Slovenian volleyball player who plays for JTEKT Stings and the Slovenian national team. With Slovenia, he was the runner-up of the European Volleyball Championship three times, in 2015, 2019 and 2021. Career National team On 14 August 2015, Slovenia, including Urnaut, won a gold medal in the 2015 European League. With Slovenia, he was also a runner-up of the 2015 European Championship (lost 3–0 against France in the final). Urnaut received an individual award for the Best Outside Spiker of the tournament. Slovenj Gradec
Slovenj Gradec (; german: Windischgrätz'', ''after about 1900 ''Windischgraz'') is a town in northern Slovenia. It is the centre of the City Municipality of Slovenj Gradec. It is part of the historical Styria region, and since 2005 it has belonged to the NUTS-3 Carinthia Statistical Region. The Slovenia national men's volleyball team represents Slovenia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, and is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia. Slovenia was the runner-up of the European Volleyball Championship three times, in 2015, 2019 and 2021. As of September 2022, Slovenia is ranked 9th in the FIVB World Rankings. History The Slovenian national team played its first official match on 24 April 1992, under the leadership of Viktor Krevsel. 2011 Men's European Volleyball League
The 2011 Men's European Volleyball League was the eighth edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which featured men's national volleyball teams from twelve European countries: Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia, Great Britain, Greece, Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Turkey. A preliminary league round was played from May 25 to July 10, and the final four tournament, which was held at Košice, Slovakia, on July 16. During the league round, competing nations were drawn into three pools of four teams, and played each other in a double round-robin system, with two matches per leg in a total of six legs. Pool winners qualified for the final four round, joining the host team. 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. For the second time, the EuroVolley was held in four countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland. The number of national teams that participated in the event remained to 24. In Poland, matches were played in Gdańsk, Katowice and Kraków. In Finland, matches were played in Tampere. In Czech Republic, matches were played in Ostrava. 2019 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2019 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its seventh title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1948 with participation of six national teams. Being only participant from Eastern Europe, Czechoslovakia captured gold. The teams from Eastern Europe dominated at the tournament for next four decades.
