Tin Lizzies (or Old-timers ; "De Oude Tuffer" in Dutch) is a car ride in the amusement park Efteling in the Netherlands. The attraction was designed by Joop Geesink and built by Mack Rides, and started operating in 1984. History and details In this junior ride passengers take place in a Ford Model T that are guided over a metal rail which is mounted in the ground. The Ford Model T is an automobile that was produced by Ford Motor Company from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927. Efteling () is a fantasy-themed amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, the Netherlands. The attractions reflect elements from ancient myths and legends, fairy tales, fables, and folklore. The Whip was a ride originally designed and built by W.F. Mangels Company of Coney Island, New York (state), New York, United States. , Technorati. William F. Mangels patented the ride in 1914 and it soon became extremely popular. The ride consists of two circular wheel-like turn-table platforms on opposing sides of a rectangular base. Motors turn a cable that leads a number of 2–3 person seater cars that are attached, around a laminated wooden track. The ride follows the track while the cable turns.
