TinTin++
TinTin++ is a MUD client primarily written for Unix-like systems. It is one of the oldest MUD clients in existence and a successor of the TINTIN client. TINTIN stands for "The kIckiN Tickin dIkumud clieNt" though its author admits this to be a backronym. About TinTin++ is a console Telnet client enhanced with features that work particularly well for playing MUDs, though it allows connecting to Linux and Bulletin Board System servers as well. To enhance game play on MUDs, the client can create a split screen arrangement, which divides the interface into input, output, and status areas. Input handling is enhanced with readline-like input editing, macro, and alias support. Text received from the server can be highlighted or set to execute triggers written in the TINTIN scripting language, which resembles the C programming language. Tin Tin (British Band)
Stephen Anthony James Duffy (born 30 May 1960 in Alum Rock, Birmingham, England) is an English musician, singer and songwriter. He was a founding member, vocalist, bassist and then drummer of Duran Duran. He went on to record as a solo performer under several different names, and is the singer and songwriter for The Lilac Time with his older brother Nick. He has also co-written with Robbie Williams and Steven Page. Duran Duran and other early work While attending the School of Foundation Studies & Experimental Workshop at Birmingham Polytechnic (now Birmingham City University) Duffy met John Taylor. Together they formed the group Duran Duran, along with Taylor's childhood friend, Nick Rhodes. While Taylor was the guitarist (later switching to bass) and Rhodes played the synthesizer, Duffy was the band's vocalist/lyricist and bassist. Tin Tin (band)
Tin Tin was a pop rock band, which first formed in Australia as The Kinetics in 1966. They relocated to the United Kingdom in 1969 and were renamed as Tin Tin, which comprised Steve Kipner (vocals, keyboards, percussion), Steve Groves (vocals, guitar, percussion), John Vallins (bass, guitar, vocals) and Geoff Bridgford (drums). In 1970 they issued a single, " Toast and Marmalade for Tea", which was a No. 10 hit on the ''Go-Set'' National Singles Chart in June the following year. It reached No. 20 in the United States on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Their next single, "Is That the Way?" (1971), peaked at No. 59 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The group disbanded in 1973 and Kipner continued as a songwriter for various acts including Chicago, George Benson and Olivia Newton-John. Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, providing satellite Internet access coverage to 45 countries. It also aims for global mobile phone service after 2023. SpaceX started launching Starlink satellites in 2019. As of December 2022, Starlink consists of over 3,300 mass-produced small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), which communicate with designated ground transceivers. In total, nearly 12,000 satellites are planned to be deployed, with a possible later extension to 42,000. SpaceX announced reaching more than one million subscribers in December 2022. The SpaceX satellite development facility in Redmond, Washington houses the Starlink research, development, manufacturing, and orbit control teams.
