Timothy Taban Juch
Timothy Taban Juch (also spelled Timothy Taban Juc) is a South Sudanese politician and the former governor of Akobo State in South Sudan. Taban was the Jonglei State Minister for Information & Communication, and was appointed the commissioner of Akobo County in 2014. Taban then became the deputy governor of Eastern Bieh State, and was appointed governor of Akobo State on August 19, 2019 after the death of Johnson Gony Bilieu on July 4, 2019. Taban appointed his cabinet on September 25, 2019. Akobo State
Akobo was a state in South Sudan that existed between 14 January 2017 and 22 February 2020. History Akobo County was separated from Bieh State and made a separate state with the increase in the number of states from 28 to 32 on January 14, 2017. Gabriel Gai Riam was appointed governor on January 16, 2017, after the creation of the state, but was removed and replaced by Johnson Gony Bilieu two days later. Timothy Taban Juch was appointed governor on August 19, 2019 after the death of Johnson Gony Bilieu on July 4, 2019. Upon its creation, a large part of Akobo State was held by the SPLM-IO. Akobo experienced heavy flooding in late 2019. South Sudan (; din, Paguot Thudän), officially the Republic of South Sudan ( din, Paankɔc Cuëny Thudän), is a landlocked country in East Africa. Jonglei State
Jonglei State is a state of South Sudan with Bor as its centre of government and the biggest city. Jonglei state comprises nine counties: Bor, Akobo, Ayod, Uror, Duk, Nyirol, Pigi, Twic East, and Fangak. Jonglei State is the largest state by area before reorganisation, with an area of approximately 122,581 km2, as well as the most populous according to the 2008 census conducted in present-day South Sudan's second period of autonomy. The boundaries of the state were again changed as a result of a peace agreement signed on 22 February 2020. Akobo County
Akobo County is a county in South Sudan. Location The county is located in Jonglei State, in eastern South Sudan, bordering the country of Ethiopia. The county headquarters at Akobo are located approximately , by road, northeast of Juba, the capital and largest city in the country. Bieh State
Bieh State (previously named Eastern Bieh State) was a state in South Sudan that existed between 2 October 2015 and 22 February 2020. It was located in the Greater Upper Nile region and it bordered Fangak State, Fangak to the west, Central Upper Nile State, Central Upper Nile to the north, Latjoor State, Latjoor and Akobo State, Akobo to the east, and Jonglei State, Jonglei to the south. History On 2 October 2015, President Salva Kiir issued a decree establishing 28 states in place of the 10 constitutionally established states. Food Security
Food security speaks to the availability of food in a country (or geography) and the ability of individuals within that country (geography) to access, afford, and source adequate foodstuffs.
