Timothy Pollard
Timothy Pollard is an American former basketball player. He is best known for being a prolific three-point field goal shooter while playing for Mississippi Valley State University between 1986–87 and 1987–88. Pollard was a two-time NCAA Division I three-point field goals made per game leader in each of his two seasons playing for the Delta Devils. As a junior, he made 4.71 per game, and then as a senior he made 4.43 per game. Pollard, a shooting guard, is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi and played his first two seasons of college basketball at the junior college level. His 4.71 makes per game were a Division I record for juniors until Terrence Woods of Florida A&M broke it in 2003 by hitting 4.96 per game. The Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Big Ten Conference. Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's campus in Champaign. The State Farm Center is a large dome-shaped 15,544-seat indoor arena located in Champaign, Illinois, owned and operated by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Terrence Woods (born September 10, 1981) is an American basketball player. He has played internationally in Mexico and Jordan as well as for leagues in the United States, such as the USBL and WBA. Playing career High school and Tennessee In 1998–99, Woods was named the Tennessee Mr. Basketball for Class AA while playing for Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He accepted a scholarship to the University of Tennessee to play. He was a key bench player in his freshman and sophomore seasons, but after his sophomore season ended both he and teammate Harris Walker were kicked off the Volunteers basketball team for undisclosed reasons.
