Timothy I. Ahern
Timothy I. Ahern (November 7, 1924 – April 16, 2003) was a major general in the United States Air Force. Biography Ahern was born on November 7, 1924, in New Haven, Connecticut. At the age of 15 he entered New Haven State Teachers College. Later he attended the six-week Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School. He married Kathryn L. Teague, widow of USAF Lieutenant Edward F. Teague. They had one child together and also raised Kathryn's son from her first marriage together. Son Goku was a German rock band who played a mix of hardcore punk, alternative, reggae, and electronic sounds. The band was named after the Son Goku character in the ''Dragon Ball'' series. Son Goku's first and only album, ''Crashkurs'' (Crash course), was released in 2002 and reached a peak position of 15 on the Media Control Charts. The Commendation Medal is a mid-level United States military decoration presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service. Each branch of the United States Armed Forces issues its own version of the Commendation Medal, with a fifth version existing for acts of joint military service performed under the Department of Defense. The Commendation Medal was originally only a service ribbon and was first awarded by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard in 1943. The 57th Operations Group (57 OG) is the operational component of the 57th Wing, assigned to the United States Air Force's Air Combat Command. The group is stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The Group provides direct oversight of the Nellis flying mission through the 57th Operations Support Squadron. They manage the airfield, operate the air traffic control tower, and the Nellis Air Traffic Control Facility providing radar service to local flying operations and the National Airspace System.
