Timothy Gribble
Timothy Lane Gribble (August 27, 1963 – March 15, 2000) was an American murderer, rapist and self-confessed serial killer who admitted to raping and strangling three women across Texas between 1985 and 1987. Sentenced to death on two occasions for one of the murders, Gribble was executed at the Huntsville Unit in 2000. Prior criminal record Gribble's first recorded offense occurred at age 18, when he was arrested for false imprisonment after accosting a woman in Texas City on April 10, 1981. Facing 10 years imprisonment if convicted, he instead accepted a plea deal with the prosecution that mitigated the sentence to 10 years probation and a $750 fine. Two years later, under the alias of 'Timothy Wayne Gribble', he was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a 15-year-old girl in Texas City on August 12, 1983. Newbern is a town in Dyer County, Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 3,313. History In October 1902, Garfield Burley and Curtis Brown were lynched in downtown Newbern. Burley and Brown were tied together and hung from a telephone pole within sight of the town's train depot. The lynching is notable due to the efforts of several local community leaders to prevent it. On April 2, 2006, sixteen people were killed in Newbern when it and its surrounding communities were directly hit by an F3 tornado. The storm caused nearly $15 million in damages. I-45
Interstate 45 (I-45) is a major Interstate Highway located entirely within the US state of Texas. While most Interstate routes which have numbers ending in "5" are cross-country north–south routes, I-45 is comparatively short, with the entire route located in Texas. Additionally, it has the shortest length of all the interstates that end in a "5." It connects the cities of Dallas and Houston, continuing southeast from Houston to Galveston over the Galveston Causeway to the Gulf of Mexico. I-45 replaced U.S. Highway 75 (US 75) over its entire length, although portions of US 75 remained parallel to I-45 until its elimination south of Downtown Dallas in 1987. Clear Lake Shores is a city in Galveston County, Texas, within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 1,063. History During the oil boom years of the 1920s, developers began to sell properties around the Clear Lake estuary as waterfront recreational retreats. The new development was named "Clear Lake Shores". Though the development was initially successful, the Great Depression halted most of the area's growth.
