''Timecode'' is a Spanish live-action short film directed by Juanjo Giménez. It won the Short Film Palme d'Or award at 69th annual Cannes Film Festival in 2016. It is also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 89th Academy Awards in 2017. Plot Luna and Diego are car park security guards. Juanjo Giménez Peña (born 18 April 1963) is a Spanish director and filmmaker. Javier Bayon (Barcelona, July 20, 1980) is a Spanish film music composer. He has scored for prestigious directors as Icíar Bollaín, Juanjo Giménez Peña, Kike Maíllo and Darren Lynn Bousman. Live action (or live-action) is a form of cinematography or videography that uses photography instead of animation. The 69th Cannes Film Festival was held from 11 to 22 May 2016. Australian director George Miller was the President of the Jury for the main competition. French actor Laurent Lafitte was the host for the opening and closing ceremonies. On 15 March it was announced that Japanese director Naomi Kawase would serve as the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury president. American director Woody Allen's film ''Café Society'' opened the festival. The Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film is an award presented at the annual Academy Awards ceremony. The award has existed, under various names, since 1957. From 1936 until 1956 there were two separate awards, "Best Short Subject, One-reel" and "Best Short Subject, Two-reel", referring to the running time of the short: a standard reel of film is 1000 feet, or about 11 minutes of run time. A third category "Best Short Subject, color" was used only for 1936 and 1937.
