Time To Win, Vol. 1
''Time to Win, Vol. 1'' is the first official EP from the Canadian band, Down with Webster. It released October 6, 2009 on Universal Motown. The album was successful in Canada, all three singles off the album charted in the top 25 on the Canadian Hot 100 and all three were certified Platinum. The album has sold over 40,000 copies in Canada and was certified Gold in December 2010. Background and recording The band said the reason to release "Time to Win" in two separate volumes was because: "As a band, we are constantly writing and recording, so instead of taking years to finish and deliver an album, releasing them this way enables us the freedom to get music out to our fans faster, more often, and for less money". The majority of "Time to Win, Vol. 1" was recorded at Chill Ville Studios, Toronto. Additional recording happened at The Hit Factory Criteria, Miami. Down With Webster is a Canadian rap rock band from The Beaches area of Toronto who signed with Universal Motown in April 2009. Down with Webster was originally formed for a middle school talent show. The band released their first official EP, '' Time to Win, Vol. 1'', on October 6, 2009. The band has achieved success from all three singles from the album, and all three were certified Platinum in Canada. The album itself was certified Platinum in Canada. Their second release, '' Time to Win, Vol. 2'', was released on October 31, 2011. In 2014, they put out their second full-length album, ''Party For Your Life''. A hype man, in hip hop music and rapping, is a backup rapper and/or singer who supports the primary rappers with exclamations and interjections and who attempts to increase the audience's excitement with call-and-response chants. The hype man's interjections are also planned to give the MC an opportunity to breathe, and give the illusion of an unbroken flow. Daryl Hall and John Oates, commonly known as Hall & Oates, are an American pop rock duo formed in Philadelphia in 1970. Honey Cone was an American R&B and soul girl group formed by lead singer Edna Wright (sister of Darlene Love) with Carolyn Willis and Shelly Clark in 1968. Arthur Freed (September 9, 1894 – April 12, 1973) was an American lyricist and Hollywood film producer.
