''Time for Love'' is the fifth studio album by American singer Freddie Jackson. It was released by Capitol Records on August 3, 1992 in the United States. The album includes the singles " Me and Mrs. Jones", "Can We Try" and the album's opener "I Could Use a Little Love Right Now". ''Time for Love'' by Jackson served as his last album with the label. Critical reception AllMusic editor Alex Henderson called ''Time for Love'' "a satisfying effort that isn't much different from his previous Capitol releases. The New Yorker obviously knew what his strengths were – smooth soul/urban contemporary music and romantic ballads – and once again, the singer succeeds by zeroing in on them .Though it falls short of the excellence of ''Rock Me Tonight'' and ''Just Like the First Time'', this CD was a welcome addition to his catalog." Frederick Anthony Jackson (born October 2, 1956) is an American singer. Originally from New York, Jackson began his professional music career in the late 1970s with the California funk band Mystic Merlin. Among his well–known R&B/soul hits are " Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)" (1985), " Have You Ever Loved Somebody" (1986), " Jam Tonight" (1986), " Do Me Again" (1990), and " You Are My Lady" (1985). He contributed to the soundtrack for the 1989 film, ''All Dogs Go to Heaven'' with the Michael Lloyd-produced duet "Love Survives" alongside Irene Cara. ''Just Like the First Time'' is the second studio album by American R&B/Soul singer Freddie Jackson. Released in November 1986, the album had one of the longest record runs at number one on the U.S. R&B Albums chart, as it spent 26 weeks at the top of that chart. (This longevity gave the album the highest charting position on the Billboard Year-End chart as an R&B Album in 1987.) It also peaked at number 23 on the ''Billboard'' 200. It was certified platinum by the RIAA on January 20, 1987. The album yielded three number-one singles on the R&B singles chart with " Have You Ever Loved Somebody", " Tasty Love" and " Jam Tonight". A fourth single, "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love", just missed the top spot, peaking at number two. The fifth single, "Look Around", peaked at number 69. D'Atra Hicks (born Deitra Cherelle Hicks; December 27, 1967) is an American actress and singer. Hicks is best known for her role as Jackie Simmons in Tyler Perry's 2002 stage play ''Madea's Family Reunion''. Wilfred "Will" Downing (born November 29, 1963) is an American singer and songwriter. He is married to singer Audrey Wheeler, who was a member of the R&B group Unlimited Touch. Biography Downing enrolled in Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York. Alumni of the school include record label executives Clive Davis (who founded Arista Records), Kedar Massenburg (who later became president of Motown), Stephanie Mills and singer Barbra Streisand. ''Rock Me Tonight'' is the platinum selling 1985 debut album from American R&B/Soul singer Freddie Jackson. Released on April 28, 1985, the album yielded four top–10 singles on the U.S. R&B chart, with the first two, "You Are My Lady" and "Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)", reaching number one. The latter two, "Love Is Just a Touch Away" and "He'll Never Love You", peaked at Nos. 9 and 8, respectively. The album contains a cover of the Billie Holiday classic "Good Morning Heartache".
