''Time For Change'' is the second album by American R&B singer Wendy Moten, released on February 22, 1995. Overview Although none of the album's singles charted in Moten's native United States or the United Kingdom where she had a Top 10 hit with "Come In Out of the Rain" the year before, the album did prove successful in Japan, where she scored two smash hits; "Change of Heart", which reached number 1, and "Your Love Is All I Know", which peaked at number 2. Wendy Moten
Wendy Moten (born November 22, 1964) is an American jazz singer from Tennessee. Born in Memphis and based in Nashville, Moten has had a successful career in music, including several major-label solo records, some international hit songs, and a second career as a touring musician. At age 56, she entered an American national talent competition, ''The Voice,'' where she finished as the runner-up. Moten is best known for the single " Come In Out of the Rain", which was a No. 8 hit in the UK in February 1994. Chris Walker (musician)
Chris Walker is an American musician and producer best known for his 1992 ''Billboard'' Hot 100 top 40 hit "Take Time". Biography Walker was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he began singing before speaking. He got his start in the church as a member of his family gospel group, ''The Walker Brothers''. Walker plays the bass upside down, similar to one of his guitar heroes, Jimi Hendrix. Walker then moved to New York City, where he became Ornette Coleman's bass guitarist for two and a half years before releasing his debut album. He then toured with Regina Belle, where he soon became musical director. When Belle noticed his voice, she gradually worked his vocals into her act; Walker credits her for teaching him to find his voice. Cynthia Weil (born October 18, 1940) is an American songwriter who wrote many songs together with her husband Barry Mann. Life and career Weil was born in New York City, and was raised in a Conservative Jewish family. Her father was Morris Weil, a furniture store owner and the son of Lithuanian-Jewish immigrants, and her mother was Dorothy Mendez, who grew up in a Sephardic Jewish family in Brooklyn. Weil trained as an actress and dancer, but soon demonstrated a songwriting ability that led to her collaboration with Barry Mann, whom she married in August 1961.
