Paulette Duval (1889 – 1951) was a French dancer and actress of the silent film era and early sound motion pictures. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1889 and raised in France. She was considered one of the most beautiful women in Paris in the early 20th century. In films, he usually was a character actor as his singing voice could not be used in silent films. He was born in Redhill, Surrey, England and died in Cincinnati, Ohio. Robert Howard Ober (May 10, 1881 – December 7, 1950) was an American stage and silent-screen actor. Early life Robert Howard Ober was born on May 10, 1881, in Bunker Hill, Illinois, to parents Robert Howard Ober Sr. and Joella W. Ober (née Davis). He attended Divoll grade school in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. Career Ober started his theater career in St. Louis, Missouri at the Century Theatre. Nellie Parker Spaulding (August 4, 1870 – June 18, 1945) was an American silent film actress who appeared in at least 37 films between 1915 and 1925. Early life and career Parker was born in Machias, Maine and educated at the Emerson College of Expression in Boston. Her early career was in stage productions included '' The Country Boy, The Dawn of a To-morrow,'' and '' The Governor's Lady.'' She also worked with Union Opera Company. Parker's first film role came when she was 45 years old, in ''The Flying Twins'' (1915), playing the role of 'Aunt Sally'. Between 1915 and 1917 she would appear in 14 different Thanhouser Studio films. Originally billed as 'Eleanor Spaulding', she was using the more informal 'Nellie' by 1918. She most often played mothers, aunts, or older women, such as "Mrs. Peniston" in the first filmed version of Edith Wharton's ''The House of Mirth'' (1918). Creighton Hale (born Patrick Fitzgerald; May 24, 1882 – August 9, 1965) was an Irish-American theatre, film, and television actor whose career extended more than a half-century, from the early 1900s to the end of the 1950s. Career Born in County Cork, Ireland, Hale was educated in Dublin and London, and later attended Ardingly College in Sussex. He emigrated to America in 1910, with a company headed by Gertrude Elliott. He was initially billed as Pat Creighton Hale in the United States. Remaining in the country, he acted in stock theater in Hartford, Indianapolis, and other cities. While starring in Charles Frohman's Broadway production of ''Indian Summer'', Hale was spotted by a representative of the Pathe Film Company.
