Tim Soudan
Tim Soudan is the current Head Coach for Chrome Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. He joined the team after the conclusion of their 2019 season, replacing legendary coach Dom Starsia. Soudan is a former National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player. Soudan was one year too early before the Olympic lacrosse team was formed, and was registered as a player but injured himself making him unable to play. Soudan also played in the NLL for the Boston Blazers (1991–1994) and the Rochester Knighthawks (1995–2005), and in the MLL for the Rochester Rattlers (2001–2003). Soudan coached the Rochester Rattlers from 2011 to 2017, earning coach of the year honors in 2014 and reaching the championship final in 2014 and 2015. Fairport is a village located in the Town of Perinton, which is part of Monroe County, New York, United States. Fairport is a suburb east of Rochester. Fairport High School
Fairport High School (FHS) is a public high school serving the tenth through twelfth grades in the Village of Fairport and most of the Town of Perinton, New York. It is part of the Fairport Central School District. The Principal, as of the end of the 2014-2015 school year, is Robert Clark following his time as an Assistant Principal. Current enrollment estimates place the student population around 1,700. The Class of 2009 was the largest class to pass through FHS in approximately 15 years, totaling just over 600 students. FHS takes part in numerous international exchange programs, including trips to Ireland, France, Spain, Germany and Italy. Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. The game was extensively modified by European colonists, reducing the violence, to create its current collegiate and professional form. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal. The sport has four versions that have different sticks, fields, rules and equipment: field lacrosse, women's lacrosse, box lacrosse and intercrosse. Canada National Indoor Lacrosse Team
The Canada national indoor lacrosse team represents Canada in international tournaments of indoor lacrosse. It is the best national box lacrosse team in the world, having won all five World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, starting with the 2003 ILF World Indoor Lacrosse Championship held in Canada. Team Canada has never lost a game in the tournament. Their biggest rivals are the Iroquois Nationals, who have finished in second place in all four tournaments. The 1997 season is the 11th season of the league and, is the last as the MILL, began on January 4, 1997, and concluded with the championship game on April 12. The league was renamed to the National Lacrosse League after this season. Boston Blazers (1992–97)
The Boston Blazers were an indoor lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The Blazers were based in Boston, Massachusetts, and began play in the 2009 NLL season. The team was owned by Tim Armstrong, the former President of Advertising and Commerce for Google. who is currently CEO of AOL. NLL veteran Tom Ryan was the team's head coach until being dismissed on December 23, 2010. Ryan was replaced on December 28, 2010 by former Toronto Rock assistant coach Matt Sawyer.
