Tim Hunter (astronomer)
Timothy B. Hunter, better known as Tim Hunter, is an American radiologist and amateur astronomer, who was the president of the International Dark-Sky Association. Education and profession Hunter received his M.D. degree from Northwestern University in 1968. He teaches as a professor of radiology and orthopaedic surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He also earned a B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Arizona in 1980 and M.S. in astronomy from Swinburne University of Technology in 2006. Astronomy Since 1986, Hunter has studied the problem of increasing light pollution. In 1987, together with David Crawford, he founded the International Dark-Sky Association, which has grown to more than 10,000 members in 75 countries (as of 2007). His effort in this field brought him the Presidential Award of the Astronomical League in 2004 and the Amateur Achievement Award of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific in 2005. Tim Hunter (born June 15, 1947, in Los Angeles, California) is an American television and film director. Career Since the late 1980s he has mostly worked on television, directing episodes for dozens of televisions series including '' Breaking Bad'', '' Carnivàle'', '' Chicago Hope'', ''Crossing Jordan'', '' Deadwood'', '' Falcon Crest'', '' Homicide: Life on the Street'', '' House'', '' Law & Order'', ''Lie to Me'', ''Mad Men'', ''Twin Peaks'', ''Glee'', '' Revenge'', ''Pretty Little Liars'' and ''American Horror Story''. Tim Hunter (ice Hockey)
Timothy Robert Hunter (born September 10, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, and head coach most recently the head coach of the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League (WHL), having previously served as an assistant coach in the National Hockey League (NHL), most recently for the Washington Capitals. Chosen in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft (#54 overall) by the Atlanta Flames, Hunter went on to a 16-season playing career with the Calgary Flames, Quebec Nordiques, Vancouver Canucks, and San Jose Sharks. Playing career Hunter was on the Flames' 1989 Stanley Cup championship team, and also appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals in 1986 with Calgary and in 1994 with Vancouver. Tim Hunter (soccer)
Tim Hunter (born March 3, 1954) is a retired Canadian-American soccer player who played professionally in the North American Soccer League. Born in Canada, Hunter and his brother Paul grew up in Westport, Connecticut. In 1971, he graduated from Staples High School where he was a member of four consecutive state championship soccer teams. In 2008, he was voted among the best midfielders and forwards to play for the school's soccer team. Hunter attended the University of Connecticut where he played on the men's soccer team from 1972 to 1974. He was a 1972 and 1974 Honorable Mention (third team) All American. Hunter was on the American team at the 1975 Pan American Games. In 1975, Hunter first played with the Connecticut Yankees of the ASL before signing with the Boston Minutemen of the North American Soccer League.
