Tim Harmston
Tim Harmston is a stand-up comedian from Minneapolis. He competed on ''Last Comic Standing'' in 2014, and has performed on ''The Late Show With David Letterman'' and Comedy Central's ''Live at Gotham''. Star Tribune critic Jay Boller wrote that Harmston combines "the cadence of Brian Regan and the observational absurdism of Jim Gaffigan." He has released two albums on Stand Up! Records, ''The Most Bees Ever'' and ''The Whim of Tim''. Early life Harmston grew up in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He worked in the Chicago film industry before pursuing a career in comedy. Career Harmston began performing stand-up in 2002, and won Minneapolis comedy club Acme's Funniest Person in the Twin Cities contest in 2003. In 2011 Harmston self-released his debut album ''The Most Bees Ever'', which was re-released by Stand Up! Records in 2014. Stand-up comedy is a comedy, comedic performance to a live audience in which the performer addresses the audience directly from the stage. The performer is known as a comedian, a comic or a stand-up. A comedian or comic is a person who seeks to entertain an audience by making them laugh. ''Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager'' is an American fan web sitcom created by Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan, who wrote, directed, and appeared in the series, which parodies ''Star Wars''. The show's central character is Chad Vader, the day-shift manager at the fictional supermarket Empire Market, who clashes with his customers and employees. Production The original idea for the character of Chad Vader came from Yonda's friend, stand-up comedian Tim Harmston.
