Tim Despic
Tim Despic (born November 22, 1978) is a Canadian-born London-based British composer. His style of composition has been described as ‘moody and evocative’ ( ''Variety'', 2009). Life and career Tim Despic was born in Montreal, Quebec, and at age three his family immigrated to the United Kingdom. He was educated at the University of Bath where he graduated with an honours degree in Politics and Economics. He been classically trained from a young age as a pianist and returned to university for a master's degree in Creative Music Technology from Newcastle University. He is a multi-instrumentalist specialises in traditional orchestrations fuzed with contemporary acoustic and electronic soundscapes. He cites Bernard Herman, Danny Elfman and Scott Walker amongst his main influences. ''Fierce Creatures'' is a 1997 British-American farcical comedy film. While not literally a sequel, ''Fierce Creatures'' is a spiritual successor to the 1988 film '' A Fish Called Wanda''. Gallows (band)
Gallows are an English hardcore punk band from Watford, Hertfordshire. The band was formed in 2005 after Laurent Barnard's previous band disbanded. Gallows' debut album, ''Orchestra of Wolves'', was distributed in the United States by Epitaph Records, and they were subsequently signed to Warner Bros. Records for a £1 million album contract and recorded ''Grey Britain''. The band has been particularly successful in the UK, with two songs charting on the UK Single Charts, and have been featured in magazines such as ''Kerrang!'', ''Alternative Press'' and ''Rolling Stone''. David Darling (musician)
David Darling (March 4, 1941 – January 8, 2021) was an American cellist and composer. In 2010, he won the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album. He performed and recorded with Bobby McFerrin, Paul Winter Consort, Ralph Towner and Spyro Gyra and released many solo albums. Among these were 15 recordings for ECM Records, ECM. Music career Darling was born on March 4, 1941 in Elkhart, Indiana. He was interested in music from an early age, beginning piano when he was four, cello at ten, and string bass in high school. He studied classical cello at Indiana State University and after graduating remained there another four years as a teacher. He worked as a studio musician in Nashville, Tennessee and was a member of the Paul Winter Consort until 1978.
