Timothy Donald Anderson (16 October 1925 – 22 September 2017) was a British pole vaulter who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. Tim Anderson (defensive Back)
William Tim Anderson (born August 1, 1949) is a former American football defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for the Toronto Argonauts, San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills. He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. After being drafted by the 49ers in the first round of the 1971 NFL Draft, Anderson was so unhappy with the 49ers' contract offer that he considered quitting football and signed with the Argonauts instead. Anderson said that "The negotiations with the 49ers go off on the wrong foot and got progressively worse." He believed that he believed he was the first NFL first round draft pick to sign with the CFL instead, and was followed by Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers in 1973 in taking that route. Air Marshal Sir Timothy Michael Anderson, (born 2 February 1957) is a retired senior Royal Air Force (RAF) officer. He served as the inaugural Director-General of the UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA) from 2010 to 2013. The MAA was established in response to the Haddon-Cave Review into the issues surrounding the loss of an RAF Nimrod over Afghanistan in September 2006. Earlier in his career, Anderson was a fast jet pilot, primarily flying the Tornado ground attack aircraft, and as Officer Commanding No. 14 Squadron led the United Kingdom's Tornado commitment to Operation Allied Force, the NATO air campaign over Kosovo in 1999, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order. Based in Los Angeles, he was a co-founding member of dance/garage/power pop-punk band Ima Robot (alongside Edward Sharpe). He was a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney until early 2019, and the author of several books on independent development and anti-imperialism.
