Tilt Renewables
Tilt Renewables Pty Ltd is an Australian electricity generation company. It was previously dual listed on the New Zealand stock exchange and Australian stock exchange. As of 2022, the Powering Australian Renewables has merged with Tilt Renewables following a complex acquisition and merger, making it the largest private developer and generator of renewable electricity in Australia. On 15 March 2021, a takeover was announced with support from the largest shareholders and independent board members. The proposed scheme of arrangement would be worth by a consortium where the New Zealand assets would be taken over by Mercury NZ and the Australian assets by Powering Australian Renewables Fund – itself a consortium of AGL Energy, QIC Global Infrastructure Fund and the Australian Government's Future Fund. Crookwell Wind Farm
Crookwell Wind Farm, located at Crookwell west of Goulburn, New South Wales, consists of eight 600 kW wind turbines giving a total capacity of 4.8 MW. It was the first grid-connected wind farm in Australia when built by Pacific Power in 1998. It is now owned by Tilt Renewables. The farm was the largest wind farm in Australia when built, with the energy produced bought and on-sold to customers by then energy retailer Great Southern Energy. Nyngan Solar Plant
The Nyngan Solar Plant or Farm is one of the largest operating solar plants in Australia. At the time of construction, it was the largest solar plant in the southern hemisphere. It is located 10 km west of Nyngan in western New South Wales. It was built and is operated by AGL Energy. It has over 1.3 million solar panels, generating 102 megawatts of power. It was opened on 18 April 2015, and became fully operational in July 2015. The Nyngan Solar Plant is associated with the Broken Hill Solar Plant, a 53 megawatt farm located almost 600 km west, which became operational in December 2015, making the total capacity of the combined plants 155 megawatts. Dundonnell Wind Farm
Dundonnell Wind Farm is at Dundonnell, northeast of Mortlake in the Australian state of Victoria. Construction began in January 2019 and was completed in 2020 with 80 Vestas wind turbines with a capacity to generate 336MW of electricity. The drive trains and hubs were assembled at the former Ford Australia site in Geelong. The wind farm has contracts to supply 37% of its output to the government of Victoria and 50% to Snowy Hydro.
