Tigran Martirosyan (tennis)
Tigran Martirosyan (born 12 July 1983) is an Armenian tennis player who rose in the ATP tennis rankings of top players during 2008. Career 2001 Tigran played his only Davis Cup tennis to date in 2001, losing a singles rubber in each of two ties. 2006 It was not until 2006 however that he played his first Futures tournaments, starting with the USA F17, where he reached the quarter finals. He only played one more tournament in 2006, the Lexington Challenger, where he again made the quarters. 2007 Tigran hardly raised his ranking at all in 2007 but played fairly well. He started the year ranked 788 and ended it ranked 776. He reached two futures semi-finals and three quarter-finals. 2008 2008 was Tigran's best year by far. He started off very badly, losing to Ytai Abougzir 3–6, 5–7 in the first round of USA F15. His ranking dropped down to zero before he reached the quarter-final of USA F16. Futures Tournaments
The ITF World Tennis Tour (formerly known as the ''ITF Men's World Tennis Tour'', and previously ''ITF Men's Circuit'') is a series of professional tennis tournaments held around the world that are organized by the International Tennis Federation. The tour represents the lowest rung of the men's professional tennis ladder. ITF tournaments are incorporated into the ATP rankings, enabling young professionals to progress on to the ATP Challenger Tour and ultimately the full ATP Tour. Nearly every professional player has spent some time on the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. Lexington Challenger
The Lexington Challenger (previously known as the Kentucky Bank Tennis Championships and the Fifth Third Bank Tennis Championships) is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hardcourts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, and has been held annually at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Kentucky, since 1995 for men and since 1997 for women. The prize money offered at the tournament is $50,000 for men and $60,000 for women (although in 1997–98 it was $25,000 for women). Ytai Abougzir
Ytai Abougzir (born February 22, 1983) is an Israeli-born American former professional tennis player. Abougzir, the son of a professional soccer player, was born in the Israeli city of Beersheba and moved to Florida when he was a child. In junior tennis, Abougzir was ranked as high as two in the world by the ITF and won the boys' doubles title at the 2001 Australian Open with Argentine Luciano Vitullo. He was also a US Open (tennis), US Open boys' singles semi-finalist. Most of his appearances on the professional tour were at ITF Futures level and he featured in qualifying at the 2001 US Open (tennis), 2001 US Open. He reached a career high tenth position in the ATP Champions Race in April 2003, as well as a career-high 18th ATP ranking in February 2005. He has career prize money earnings of over $5,000,000.
