Tige Arthur Simmons, OAM (born 5 May 1977) is an Australian wheelchair basketball player who represented Australia in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games. Biography Tige Simmons became a paraplegic due to a motorbike accident. He was part of the gold medal-winning Australian men's national wheelchair basketball team at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, for which he received a Medal of the Order of Australia. He was a member of the Australian Men's National Wheelchair Basketball team that competed at the 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship that won a gold medal. Buster Brown is a comic-strip character created in 1902 by Richard F. Outcault. Adopted as the mascot of the Brown Shoe Company in 1904, Buster Brown, along with Mary Jane, and with his dog Tige, became well known to the United States of America , American public in the early-20th century. The character's name was used to describe a popular style of suit for young boys, the Buster Brown suit, that reflected his outfit. Origins The character of Buster Brown was loosely based on Granville Hamilton Fisher, a son of Charles and Anna Fisher of Flushing, New York.
