Tico Carrero
Alberto "Tico" Carrero Tellado (born September 4, 1948) is a Puerto Rican former professional tennis player. Carrero, a native of San Juan, represented Puerto Rico in the demonstration event at the 1968 Summer Olympics and was a quarter-finalist in doubles. He also represented the territory at the 1963 Pan American Games and 1966 Central American and Caribbean Games, earning a doubles silver medal in the latter. Santurce (, from the Basque ''Santurtzi'' which means Saint George) is a barrio or district in the municipality of San Juan. Its population in 2020 was 69,469. It is also the biggest and most populated of all the barrios in the capital city with a bigger population than most municipalities of Puerto Rico and one of the most densely populated areas of the island (13,257.4 persons per square mile).
