Tiana Jaber (; born 9 May 2000) is a Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football), defender for A-League Women club Wellington Phoenix FC (A-League Women), Wellington Phoenix. Born in Australia, Jaber was called-up to the Lebanon women's national football team, Lebanon national team in 2024. Early life Jaber spent her childhood growing up in Greater Western Sydney, Western Sydney while attending Glenwood High School; she is of Lebanese Australians, Lebanese and Italian Australians, Italian descent. Club career Western Sydney Wanderers Jaber played for North West Sydney Spirit FC, North West Sydney Koalas in the National Premier Leagues NSW Women's before being signed on a scholarship contract by the Western Sydney Wanderers FC (A-League Women), Western Sydney Wanderers in 2019. The National Premier Leagues NSW Women's, also known as the NPL NSW Women's, are soccer competitions in New South Wales, Australia. The competition is conducted by Football NSW, the organising body in New South Wales. The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues Women’s structure, which sits below the national W-League. History A Football NSW panel completed a review on women's football in NSW in 2013, with a view to staying aligned with the FFA's pathway for women's football. This resulted in an inaugural NPL competition in 2014, with NSW being the first in the country to introduce a women's competition under the NPL banner. Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury
An anterior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear. Symptoms include pain, an audible cracking sound during injury, instability of the knee, and joint swelling. Swelling generally appears within a couple of hours. In approximately 50% of cases, other structures of the knee such as surrounding ligaments, cartilage, or meniscus are damaged. The underlying mechanism often involves a rapid change in direction, sudden stop, landing after a jump, or direct contact to the knee. It is more common in athletes, particularly those who participate in alpine skiing, football (soccer), netball, American football, or basketball. Sydney Football Club Women is an Australian women's football club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It competes in the A-League Women, the top tier of women's football in Australia. The club is directly affiliated with Sydney FC. History Establishment The formation of the W-League in October 2008 saw the league composed of eight teams. Seven of the eight clubs were directly affiliated with the A-League clubs, Sydney FC being one. The women's team shares the men's club name and colours. Inaugural season The inaugural W-League season was played over 10 rounds, followed by a finals series.
