Charles Thévenin
Charles Thévenin (12 July 1764 – 28 February 1838) was a neoclassical French painter, known for heroic scenes from the time of the French Revolution and First French Empire. Biography Born in Paris, the son of a court architect, Charles studied painting at the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture under François-André Vincent. Winning second prize in the prix de Rome for ''Joseph recognised by his brothers'' in 1789, he won first prize in 1791 for ''Regulus returns to Carthage''. Thus he received his first commissions and in 1790 produced the first version of ''The Taking of the Bastille'', which produced a number of commentaries. He received a second prize at the Concours of Year II for ''The 12 July 1789''. After giving up history painting for decorative subjects for a time, in 1798 he produced '' Augereau on the bridge at Arcole'', the first in a series of paintings glorifying the Empire. Denis Thévenin
Georges Duhamel (; ; 30 June 1884 – 13 April 1966) was a French author, born in Paris. Duhamel trained as a doctor, and during World War I was attached to the French Army. In 1920, he published '' Confession de minuit'', the first of a series featuring the anti-hero Salavin. In 1935, he was elected as a member of the Académie française. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature twenty-seven times. He was also the father of the musicologist and composer Antoine Duhamel. Biography Georges Duhamel was born in the 13th arrondissement of Paris on 30 June 1884. He was the third child of a family which struggled to survive on the income of his unstable father. The strains and tensions of these early years are reflected in his famous autobiographical novel '' Le Notaire du Havre'' (1933), the first book of his Pasquier saga. Léon Charles Thévenin (; 30 March 1857, Meaux, Seine-et-Marne – 21 September 1926, Paris) was a French telegraph engineer who extended Ohm's law to the analysis of complex electrical network, electrical circuits. Biography Born in Meaux, France, Thévenin entered the École polytechnique in Paris in 1876. Upon graduation, in 1878, he joined the Corps of telegraph Engineers (which subsequently became the Postes, télégraphes et téléphones (France), French PTT). There, he initially worked on the development of long distance underground telegraph lines. Appointed as a teaching inspector at the École supérieure de télégraphie in 1882, he became increasingly interested in the problems of measurement in electrical circuits. Nicolas Thevenin (born 5 June 1958) is a French prelate of the Catholic Church who works in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He has been Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt since 2019. Biography Nicolas Henry Marie Denis Thevenin was born on 5 June 1958 in Saint-Dizier in the Haute-Marne region of France. He graduated from Commercial Institute of Nancy in 1981. He entered the seminary of Genoa, Italy, as a member of the Community of Saint Martin. He holds a doctorate in canon law. He was ordained a priest on 4 July 1989 and was incardinated in the Archdiocese of Genoa. He joined the diplomatic services of the Holy See on 1 July 1994. His service took him to India, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Belgium, Lebanon, Cuba, and Bulgaria. In 2005 he joined the staff of the State Relations Section of the Secretariat of State in Rome.
