''Thursday Till Sunday'' ( es, De Jueves a Domingo) is a 2012 Chilean coming-of-age film directed by Dominga Sotomayor Castillo in her debut feature. The film premiered at the 2012 International Film Festival Rotterdam. Later that year, it won the Grand Prix of the New Horizons Film Festival in Wrocław. Plot The film is set during a family trip to the north of Chile over a long weekend. As the journey becomes increasingly challenging, conflicts emerge between the couple, while Lucía (played by Santi Ahumada) and her brother remain unaware that this will be their father's farewell and potentially the final family trip. Dominga Sotomayor Castillo (born 1985) is a Cinema of Chile, Chilean filmmaker. Biography She graduated from Universidad Católica de Chile with a degree on Audiovisual Direction in 2007, followed by a Master at the Escola de Cinema y Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC) in Film direction. She directed several short films that were shown at festivals internationally. Coming of age is a young person's transition from being a child to being an adult. The specific age at which this transition takes place varies between societies, as does the nature of the change. New Horizons Film Festival (previously: Era New Horizons; pl: Nowe Horyzonty) is an international film festival held annually in July in Wrocław, Poland. It has been organised since 2001.
