''Throwing Myself'' is the only studio album by Luti-Kriss. It was released in 2001 on Solid State Records. After the release of this album, the band changed their name to Norma Jean. Norma Jean (formerly known as Luti-Kriss) is an American metalcore band from Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Since their inception in 1997, numerous lineup changes have left the band with no original members. To date, Norma Jean has released nine studio albums and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Recording Package for their second album '' O' God, the Aftermath''. The band's name is derived from the real name of actress Marilyn Monroe. Kris McCaddon
Kris McCaddon was the second guitarist for the metalcore band, Society's Finest and lead guitarist for Demon Hunter. He was also the vocalist for the bands Embodyment and The Famine. History McCaddon's career started in 1994 when he joined the band Embodyment. They released their debut album, ''Embrace the Eternal'', in 1997; it featured guest vocals by Living Sacrifice vocalist Bruce Fitzhugh. ''Embrace the Eternal'' would later be re-released by their record label, Solid State Records. He left the band in 2000 before recording their second album, ''The Narrow Scope of Things''. McCaddon started the band, along with Joshua Ashworth, Rob Pruett, Joel Bailey (musician), Joel Bailey, and Mindrage, Chad Wilburn, Society's Finest. Daniel Davison
Daniel Travis Davison (born January 28th, 1983) is an American musician, songwriter, artist, and filmmaker. He is also a co-founder and former drummer of the band Norma Jean and a former drummer of Underoath and Every Time I Die. Early life Davison was born on January 28, 1983, in Douglasville, Georgia. Where he first learned to play the drums, and started his musical career. Career Luti-Kriss In 1997, Davison co-founded the band Luti-Kriss and was their drummer. Karan kovind Colour Revolt In early 2010, Davison started playing music again with the indie rock band Colour Revolt. Josh Scogin (born July 17, 1981) is an American musician, and is currently the vocalist and guitarist for '68. He is also known for being the vocalist for The Chariot, and former vocalist of Norma Jean and Luti-Kriss. Scogin has recorded solo material as A Rose, By Any Other Name, releasing an album in 2010. Career He originally gained recognition as the vocalist and founding member of the band Norma Jean, after recording two full-length albums, a split release, and an EP. Scogin left Norma Jean shortly after the release of their first album, ''Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child''. ''Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child'' is the debut album by American metalcore band Norma Jean, released on August 13, 2002 by Solid State Records. It is the band's only album to feature bassist Joshua Doolittle and vocalist Josh Scogin, the latter of whom later became the lead vocalist of The Chariot. Background The band previously released a studio album, ''Throwing Myself'', under the name of Luti-Kriss. The band changed their name due to keyboardist Mick Bailey and bassist Josh Swafford leaving and also wanted to go in a different musical direction (the band played a nu metal/ metalcore hybrid). Older recordings of the songs "I Used to Hate Cellphones, But Now I Hate Car Accidents" and "The Shotgun Message" were released on a split album with mewithoutYou. The entire album was recorded live with very few overdubs. The booklet insert claims that the CD was produced entirely without the use of computers.
