Human Nature (Michael Jackson Song)
"Human Nature" is a song performed by American singer Michael Jackson, and the fifth single from his sixth solo album, '' Thriller''. The track was produced by Quincy Jones and performed by members of Toto with Michael Jackson providing vocals. It was originally written by keyboardist Steve Porcaro, based on a conversation he had with his young daughter Heather after a boy pushed her at school, Porcaro said "he probably likes you and it's human nature". Porcaro, along with some of his bandmates from the band Toto, had been assisting with the production of ''Thriller'', but he had not intended for "Human Nature" to be used by Jackson. However, ''Thriller'' producer Quincy Jones inadvertently heard a demo version of the track and thought it would be a great fit for the album. Jones then brought in songwriter John Bettis to rewrite the verses, whose lyrics are about a passerby in New York City. "Human Nature" was released as a single on July 3, 1983. They achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the late-1980s with a fusion of rock and roll, soul music and rhythm and blues. Though they are commonly referred to as ''Hall & Oates'', Hall has been adamant about the duo being called Daryl Hall & John Oates – its official name. They have been credited on albums as Daryl Hall & John Oates (or Daryl Hall John Oates) on all of their US releases. The duo reached the US Top 40 with 29 of their 33 singles charting on ''Billboard'''s Hot 100 between 1974 and 1991. Sara Smile
"Sara Smile" is a song written and recorded by the American musical duo Hall & Oates. It was released as the third single from their album ''Daryl Hall & John Oates''. The song was the group's first top 40 and first top ten hit in the US, reaching number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Release and chart performance "Sara Smile" first appeared in August 1975 as the second cut on the RCA Records album ''Daryl Hall & John Oates''. The song was performed by Hall & Oates during their September–November 1975 tour in support of the album, with a reviewer noting that listeners who liked " She's Gone" would also like the softer ballad "Sara Smile". In late 1975, "Sara Smile" was prepared as a 45 rpm 7-inch single release – the third single from the album. It first entered the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart on January 31, 1976, at number 91. For The Love Of You
"For the Love of You" (sometimes titled "For the Love of You (Part 1 & 2)") is a song recorded by the Isley Brothers, who released the song as the second single off their 1975 album, '' The Heat Is On''. The record showcased the two sides of the act, with the album's first single "Fight the Power" reflecting a fast-paced funk vibe while showcasing a ballad side on the latter. The song later became a crossover hit for the brothers. Release "For the Love of You" was released in September 1975, after the success of its predecessor, "Fight the Power", had started to dwindle, leading to a drop of the charts. "For the Love of You" nearly repeated the success of its predecessor, reaching #22 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, giving the brothers the rarity of having two top 40 singles off one album as opposed to one every album, marking it as the first time that had happened since the 1972 album, ''Brother, Brother, Brother'', where two top 40 singles emerged from that album ("Work to Do" ...
