Throckmorton is a town in Throckmorton County, Texas, United States. Its population was 828 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Throckmorton County. Geography Throckmorton is located at (33.181399, –99.178173). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.7 sq mi (4.4 km), all of it land. Climate The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen climate classification, Throckmorton has a humid subtropical climate, ''Cfa'' on climate maps.
