''Thrall-Demonsweatlive'' is an EP by American heavy metal band Danzig. It was released in 1993 on Def American Recordings and has been certified Gold. Music and recording The EP is split into two sections. The first section, ''Thrall'', consists of three new studio recordings that were tracked live and completed by the band in a single day. The studio recording " Trouble" is a cover of the Elvis Presley song featured in the movie ''King Creole''. Glenn Danzig had previously recorded the song with Samhain, which was later released on the box set version of their '' Final Descent'' EP. The second section, ''Demonsweatlive'', includes four live recordings taken from the band's Halloween 1992 performance at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in California. Glenn Allen Anzalone (born June 23, 1955), better known by his stage name Glenn Danzig, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, film director, and record producer. He is the founder of the rock bands Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig. He owns the Evilive record label as well as Verotik, an adult-oriented comic book publishing company. Beginning in the mid-1970s, Danzig's musical career has encompassed a number of genres through the years, including punk rock and heavy metal, and incorporating influences from industrial, blues and classical music. "Mother" is a song by American heavy metal band Danzig. It was originally released in August 1988 as the lead single from their debut album, '' Danzig''. In 1993–1994, almost six years after its original release, a remixed version of the song titled "Mother '93" became a hit on radio and earned Buzz Bin rotation on MTV after a music video incorporating live footage was created to promote the band's new EP, ''Thrall-Demonsweatlive''. ''Final Descent'' is an album by American deathrock band Samhain, first released in 1990, more than three years after lead singer Glenn Danzig and bassist Eerie Von had recruited guitarist John Christ and drummer Chuck Biscuits to form Danzig. Original release Tracks 1-5 are previously unreleased songs, at least some of which had been intended for the ''Samhain Grim'' album before it was aborted when the band changed its personnel, and finally its name, to Danzig. Tracks 6-11 had been released in 1987 on the first pressing of the '' Initium'' CD. Samhain was an American rock band formed by singer Glenn Danzig in 1983, immediately following his departure from Misfits. Glenn Danzig originally planned Samhain as a side project with Eerie Von. After the Misfits' contentious 1983 dissolution, Samhain became Danzig's full-time band. Samhain catalogs a transitional period in Glenn Danzig's musical career, bridging the gap between the punk rock/ horror punk of the Misfits and the dark, heavy metal- and blues-influenced sound of Danzig. Bob Flanagan (December 26, 1952 – January 4, 1996) was an American performance artist and writer known for his work on sadomasochism and lifelong struggle with cystic fibrosis. ''Black Aria'' is an instrumental album composed by Glenn Danzig, the vocalist/songwriter for Danzig and previously of Samhain and the Misfits. It was released in 1992, and is Danzig's first album as a solo artist. The album debuted at number 1 on the American '' Billboard'' classical chart. The original release was on Glenn Danzig's own label, Plan 9 Records, and like his Misfits and Samhain releases, was distributed by Caroline Records.
