''Thoppi'' () is a 2015 Indian Tamil language drama film directed by Youreka and starring Murali Ram, Raksha Raj and G. M. Kumar. The film is about a man with a criminal background who aspires to be a cop. Cast *Murali Ram as Sithan *Raksha Raj *G. M. Kumar as Suruttu Saamy *Aruldoss Production Television anchor Murali Ram, who played supporting roles in a few films, made his lead debut with this film. The film was shot in Theni and Korangani. Soundtrack US-based Ramprasad Sundar composed the songs for the film. Reception During release, the film's director complained that the producer cut scenes considerably in the second half without his knowledge. M. Suganth of ''The Times of India'' opined that "The offbeat humour comes across well, but the film is modestly engaging". Youreka is an Indian people, Indian film director, lyricist and screenwriter who has worked on Tamil films. Career Initially starting his career as a lyricist, Youreka made his debut as a filmmaker with ''Madurai Sambavam'', a rustic action film starring Harikumar (actor), Harikumar, Anuya Bhagvath and Karthika Adaikalam, Karthika, where NDTV made their first production venture in the Tamil film industry. Aruldoss
Aruldoss is an Indian actor who has appeared in supporting roles in predominantly Tamil language films. Prior to focusing on an acting career, he worked as a cinematographer for several films. Career After completing school, Aruldoss worked as a photographer at weddings. Through his acquaintances, he managed to get a breakthrough into the Tamil film industry and served as an assistant cinematographer in Sundar C's '' Arunachalam'' (1997). He subsequently went on to work as the main cameraman in '' A Aa E Ee'' (2009) and '' Pathinaaru'' (2009). ''Dinamalar'' has an average circulation of 942,812 (ABC Jan-June 2016) History Dinamalar was founded by T. V. Ramasubbaiyer on 6 September 1951 at Thiruvananthapuram.
