Thone River
Thone River, a perennial stream of the Hastings River catchment, is located in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Thone River rises on the eastern slopes of Mount Gibraltar, within the Gibraltar Range, and flows generally north northeast for before reaching its confluence with the Hastings River. Tuna El-Gebel
Tuna el-Gebel ( ar, تونة الجبل, cop, ⲑⲱⲛⲓ) was the necropolis of Khmun (Hermopolis Magna). It is the largest known Greco-Roman necropolis in Egypt, dating from the New Kingdom to the Roman Period, and seeing heavy use in the Ptolemaic Period. Tuna el-Gebel is located in Al Minya Governorate in Middle Egypt. History Although most tombs and activities are from the Ptolemaic to Roman periods, there is at least one temple dating back to Amenhotep III. It may be dedicated to Amenhotep III, Thoth, and other local gods. There are also a small number of New Kingdom tombs. The necropolis in Tuna el-Gebel during the Late Period was mostly an animal cemetery. The most common burials took place in underground galleries and were of mummies of ibises and baboons representing Thoth, as well as all kinds of bird mummies. Charles Thone
Charles Thone (January 4, 1924 – March 7, 2018) was an American Republican politician. He was the 34th Governor of Nebraska, serving from 1979 to 1983. He previously served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Nebraska's 1st congressional district, from 1971 to 1979. Early life Thone was born in Hartington, Nebraska. He was one of four sons, including John Jr. He graduated from Hartington High School. During World War II, he served in the Infantry and in the field artillery and the Army Air Corps of the United States Army as a non-commissioned officer and as an officer. Political career While attending The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Thone served as the pledge president of the Phi Delta Gamma fraternity.
