Thomas Van Der Mars
Thomas van der Mars (born 15 November 1990) is a Dutch professional basketball player for Heroes Den Bosch of the BNXT League. Standing at 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m), he usually plays as center. Early career A native of Gouda, van der Mars played for Canarias Basketball Academy in Spain. College Thomas van der Mars played four years at Portland, averaging 13.5 pts and 7.2 rebs as a junior and 10.4 pts and 8.0 rebs as a senior. Professional career In August 2015, Van der Mars signed with Kavala B.C. of the Greek Basket League. In January 2016, he parted ways with Kavala and signed with AVIS Rapla of the Estonian KML. The Netherlands men's national basketball team ( nl, Het Nederlands nationaal basketbalteam) represents the Netherlands in international basketball matches. ZZ Leiden Basketball, also known as Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden, is a basketball club based in Leiden, Netherlands. The club plays in the BNXT League, the domestic first tier league. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Heroes Den Bosch is a Dutch professional basketball club based in 's-Hertogenbosch. The club plays in the BNXT League since 2021 and in the top basketball division in the Netherlands since 1972. Okapi Aalst is a Belgian professional basketball club from Aalst, Belgium. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece.
