picture info	Thomas Wylde Thomas Wylde (c. 1670 – 12 April 1740) was an English politician and administrator. His residence was The Commandery, Worcester. He was the eldest son of Thomas Wylde (clothier)#Dynasty, Robert Wylde (c. 1622 – 1689) of The Commandery and his wife Elizabeth (née Dennis). In 1696, he first married Katherine, daughter of Sir Baynham Throckmorton, 3rd Baronet and Katherine Edgecumbe. By Katherine, he was father of Robert Wylde (died 1752), a director of the South Sea Company. He married secondly in 1720 Anne, widow of Charles Dowdeswell, Member of Parliament, MP for Tewkesbury (UK Parliament constituency), Tewkesbury 1713–1714, and daughter of Robert Tracy of Coscomb, Gloucestershire, a Justice of the Court of Common Pleas. picture info	The Commandery The Commandery is a historic building open to visitors and located in the city of Worcester, England. It opened as a museum in 1977 and was for a while the only museum in England dedicated solely to the Civil Wars. The Commandery ceased to be a Civil War museum when it reopened to the public in May 2007, having undergone a year and a half of refurbishments and reinterpretation jointly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Worcester City Council, who own the building. 	Richard Lane (politician) Sir Richard Lane (c.1667–1756), of Worcester was a British merchant, sugar-baker and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1721 and 1734. He became a prominent figure in the salt trade Biography Lane was the eldest son of Richard Lane of St. Augustine's, Bristol, sugar-baker, merchant and mayor of Bristol and his wife Susanna. He married by licence dated 3 January 1692, Sarah Davie of Salford, Lancashire. He moved to Worcester, where he was established as a merchant and sugar-baker by 1699. In 1705 he succeeded his father.
