Thomas Wernerson
Thomas Eric Ivar Wernersson (born 15 June 1955), better known as Thomas Wernerson, is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Starting off his career with Åtvidabergs FF in the mid-1970s, he is best remembered for his time with IFK Göteborg between 1981 and 1987 with which he won two UEFA Cup titles and four Swedish Championships. A full international between 1979 and 1985, he won nine caps for the Sweden national team. Club career Åtvidabergs FF Wernerson started off his career with Åtvidabergs FF, and witnessed the team win the 1972 and 1973 Allsvenskan seasons as a youth player before being promoted to the senior team in 1975. He spent a total of six seasons at Åtvidaberg, and helped the team win promotion back to Allsvenskan in 1977 after having been relegated in 1976. Nässjö
Nässjö () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Nässjö Municipality, Jönköping County, Sweden with 16,678 inhabitants in 2010. History For many years, Nässjö was a rural village with agriculture as the dominant occupation. The turning point was the construction of the Swedish railways, Swedish railway system. The Södra stambanan, southern main line railway, finished in 1864, passed through Nässjö. Later, other railways were inaugurated, whereby Nässjö, due to its geographical location in the country, became an important junction. A line to Katrineholm was opened in 1874, and that year also the opening of the Oskarshamn line; the one to Halmstad in 1882; to Kalmar in 1914. 1985–86 European Cup
The 1985–86 European Cup was the 31st season of UEFA's premier club football tournament, the European Cup. The European Champion Clubs' Cup was won by Steaua București on penalties in the final against Barcelona. Steaua București became the first Eastern Bloc side to win the tournament. The final was decided mainly by goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam, who (after keeping a clean sheet in the final) saved all four of Barcelona's penalties to secure the cup. The 1986–87 UEFA Cup was the 16th season of the UEFA Cup, a football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for clubs affiliated to its member associations.
