Thomas Schreiner (basketball)
Thomas Schreiner (born February 3, 1987) is an Austrian former professional basketball player. Schreiner also plays for the Austrian national team. Professional career After spending eight seasons in the Austrian ÖBL, Schreiner signed in 2012 with BC Andorra of the LEB Oro, Spanish second division. He promoted with the Andorran team to the top tier, the ACB League in 2014. In the third round of the 2014–15 ACB season, Schreiner became the MVP of the week. On July 28, 2022, he has signed with MoraBanc Andorra of the LEB Oro. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. They must also be able to adapt to what the defense is allowing and must control the pace of the game. A point guard specializes in certain skills, like other player positions in basketball. The Copa Princesa de Asturias de Baloncesto (English: ''Princess of Asturias' Cup of Basketball'') is an annual 2nd-tier level national cup competition for Spanish professional basketball teams, that is organized by Spain's 2nd-tier level professional league, the Liga Española de Baloncesto (LEB).
