Thomas Payne (Australian Politician)
Thomas Henry Payne (14 May 1862 – 29 November 1932) was an Australian politician. He was born in South Yarra to pioneer builder Thomas Budds Payne and Rosalie Mary Hemphill. He attended Geelong Grammar School and inherited his father's considerable wealth. Around 1894 he married Georgiana Dale Crooke, with whom he had two daughters. He owned land at Kilmore, where he bred cattle and sheep, but was based in Toorak. In 1901 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for South Yarra Province, moving to Melbourne South Province in 1904. South Yarra is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 4 km south-east of Melbourne's Melbourne central business district, Central Business District, located within the Cities of City of Melbourne, Melbourne and City of Stonnington, Stonnington Local government areas of Victoria, local government areas. Norman Falkiner
Norman Fraser Falkiner (20 November 1872 – 11 May 1929) was an Australian politician. He was born in Ararat to grazier Frank Sadlier Falkiner and Emily Elizabeth Bazeley. He attended Geelong Grammar School and managed his father's stations at Jerilderie. In April 1901 he married Mary Louise Smithwick, with whom he had seven children. From 1915 he became a grazier of his own accord, and was a successful breeder of thoroughbred racehorses. Sir Arthur Robinson KCMG (23 April 1872 – 17 May 1945) was an Australian politician, at different times a member of the upper and lower houses of the Victorian parliament and a federal MP. Early life Robinson was born at Carlton, Victoria, the son of journalist Anthony Bennett Robinson and Harriet, née Barton, the sister of Sir Edmund Barton. He attended Scotch College (where he was later Chairman of the School Council) before studying law at the University of Melbourne.
