Tom Keane
Thomas Lawrence Keane (September 7, 1926 – June 19, 2001) was an American football cornerback. High school Keane played football and graduated from Linsly Military Institute in Wheeling, West Virginia (now known as the Linsly School) in 1944. During his high school career, he was an All-OVAC selection in football and basketball in 1943 and 1944. He was also All-City in basketball. College He then went to play football at Ohio State University where he lettered as a freshman. After freshman year, he joined the United States Navy where he served for 20 months. After the navy he enrolled at West Virginia University, where he lettered in football in 1946 and 1947. Professional football Keane was a third round selection and 18th overall pick in the 1948 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams. The Keane Brothers
The Keane Brothers was an American pop music duo from 1976–82, composed of pre-teens, Tom Keane on piano and John Keane on drums. The duo released four albums and briefly hosted a television variety show on CBS. The brothers subsequently went on to solo careers as songwriters and music producers. After the elder Keane closed his record label, he promoted the boys as a bubblegum pop band. Rory Keane
Thomas Roderick "Rory" Keane (born Limerick, Republic of Ireland, 31 August 1922; died Swansea, Wales, 13 February 2004) was an Irish footballer who spent most of his career at Swansea Town. A hard-tackling defender, he is still regarded as one of Swansea's greatest ever players. Keane was also a dual internationalist and played for both Ireland teams – the IFA XI and the FAI XI. Two broken legs limited his international career to just five caps and he eventually retired after breaking his leg for a third time. Keane then settled in south Wales where he lived until his death in 2004. His grandson, Jamie Harris is also a notable footballer. Tommy Keane (16 September 1968 – 28 December 2012) was an Irish professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Early life Keane was born in Dublin and raised in Galway. Career Keane played in England for Bournemouth and Colchester United, making a total of 19 appearances in the Football League In October 1988 he returned to Ireland and was signed by manager John Herrick for Galway United, making his League of Ireland debut on 23 October 1988 at Cobh Ramblers.
