Thomas Hunter (soccer)
Thomas Hunter (born June 7, 1988) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Atlanta Silverbacks in the North American Soccer League. Career Early career Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hunter started his youth career attending various camps in England, Denmark, Sweden, and the United States. He then joined the Wofford College Terriers in 2006. He played there till 2009. After college Hunter joined National Premier Soccer League side Chattanooga FC where he played for four seasons. While with Chattanooga, Hunter was named to the 2011 NPSL All-Star Team and led his team to the NPSL finals in 2012. Atlanta Silverbacks On May 1, 2014, after an injury to Derby Carrillo, it was announced that Hunter had signed for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the North American Soccer League. 2014 North American Soccer League Season
The 2014 North American Soccer League season was the 47th season of Division II soccer in the United States and the fourth season of the revived North American Soccer League. It was contested by ten teams including two from Canada. Joining the NASL in the Spring of 2014 were two new franchises, Indy Eleven and Ottawa Fury FC; originally Virginia Cavalry FC were to begin play this season but now plan to join in the 2016 season. Derby Rafael Carrillo Berduo (born September 19, 1987) is a Salvadoran professional goalkeeper who plays for Cobán Imperial in Guatemala. Early life Carrillo was born in La Mirada, California and attended St. John Bosco High School. He began playing college soccer at California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he posted a 13-3-1 record in two seasons with the Toros after redshirting as a freshman. He was named a Daktronics first team All-American, a first team All-Region selection, a first team CCAA selection, and an NCAA Far West All-Tournament Team selection in 2007.
