Thomas Hunter (actor)
Thomas O'Driscoll Hunter (December 19, 1932 – December 27, 2017) was an American actor known for work in Spaghetti Westerns and as a Hollywood screenwriter. He was also the founder of the New England Repertory Company. Biography Born in Savannah, Georgia, Hunter served in the United States Marine Corps and graduated from the University of Virginia. He studied acting with Sanford Meisner and Uta Hagen. He entered film in a small role in Blake Edwards' '' What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?'' (1966). After completing the film, a chance meeting with Dino De Laurentiis led him to be invited to star as the lead in '' The Hills Run Red'' leading him to a career in European cinema with guest appearances in American television series. His dissatisfaction with European cinema led him to found the New England Repertory Company. Hunter published two books. ''Night Flight from Moscow'' (also known as ''The Serpent'') (French: ''Le Serpent'') is a 1973 French-Italian-West German Cold War spy-thriller film that was produced, cowritten and directed by Henri Verneuil and starred Yul Brynner, Henry Fonda, Dirk Bogarde and Philippe Noiret. Maurizio Ponzi (born 8 May 1939) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and cinema critic. Born in Rome, he wrote cinema reviews in several Italian magazines during the early 1960s. He worked as assistant director in Pier Paolo Pasolini's episode in ''Amore e rabbia'' and directed a series of documentaries in 1967–1968. He has directed 22 films between 1968 (his debut film '' I visionari'' won a prize in the Locarno Festival) and 2004. A fan of film since young age, Lenzi studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and made his first film in 1958 which went unreleased, while his official debut happened in 1961 with ''Queen of the Seas''.
