Thomas Samuel Grace (1850 – 1 April 1918) was an Anglican priest in the last decades of the 19th century and the opening decades of the 20th. Grace was the son of Thomas Samuel Grace, an eminent English Anglican missionary to New Zealand. He was educated at Church of England Grammar School, Auckland and Bishopdale College; and ordained deacon in 1873, and priest in 1875. Thomas Grace (August 2, 1841 – December 27, 1921) was an Irish-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the second bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento in California from 1896 to his death in 1921. Biography Early life Thomas Grace was born on August 2, 1841, in Wexford, Ireland. He was educated at St Peter's College, Wexford and All Hallows Missionary College, Dublin. Priesthood Grace was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Dublin in Dublin on June 24, 1876. After his ordination, Grace travelled to California. He served as pastor of several churches in Eureka, California, Carson City, Nevada, and Marysville, California. Grace dedicated St. Mary of the Lake Church in Nevada on the Feast of the Assumption, 1881. Eventually, Grace became the pastor of the pro-cathedral, Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, whose land was donated by the first governor of California, Peter Burnett. Thomas Langdon Grace (November 14, 1814 – February 22, 1897) was an American prelate who served as the second Roman Catholic Bishop of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Life Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Grace entered the seminary at Cincinnati in 1829, and, the following year, was admitted to the Dominican Order at the Priory of St. Rose in Kentucky, where he made his religious profession on 12 June 1831. In 1837 he went to Rome for further studies, where he was ordained a priest by Cardinal Patrizi on 21 December 1839. He was the first native of South Carolina to be ordained to the priesthood. After his return to the United States in 1844 he ministered first in Kentucky, and afterwards for 13 years in Memphis, Tennessee. Pope Pius IX appointed Grace to succeed Joseph Crétin as the Bishop of the Diocese of Saint Paul in Minnesota on January 21, 1859, for which he was consecrated on July 24, 1859. Thomas Grace (missionary)
Thomas Samuel Grace (16 February 1815 – 30 April 1879) was an English Anglican missionary in New Zealand. He was a member of the Church Missionary Society. He was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 16 February 1815. Grace replaced William Williams at Tūranga in Poverty Bay from 1850 until 1853, during the latter's trip to Britain. Te Kooti attended the boarding school at Tūranga during the time Grace was in charge of the mission. He was appointed to Taupo. In 1865 the Pai Mārire ransacked his house. Grace fled from Taupo to Opotiki and was caught up in the Völkner Incident. He was arrested and put on trial by the Pai Mārire party.
