Thomas F. Hall
Thomas Forrest Hall (born December 27, 1939) is a retired Rear admiral (United States), rear admiral of the United States Navy who served as the fourth Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs from October 9, 2002 to 2009. A Presidential appointee confirmed by the United States Senate, he served as the principal staff assistant to the United States Secretary of Defense on all matters involving the 1.2 million members of the Reserve Components of the United States Armed Forces. He was responsible for overall supervision of Reserve Component affairs of the United States Department of Defense, Department of Defense. The Order of the Falcon ( is, Hin íslenska fálkaorða) is the only order of chivalry in Iceland, founded by King Christian X of Denmark and Iceland on 3 July 1921. Meritorious Service Medal (United States)
__NOTOC__ The Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) is a military award presented to members of the United States Armed Forces who distinguished themselves by outstanding meritorious achievement or service to the United States subsequent to January 16, 1969. The MSM was previously awarded as a decoration for achievement during peacetime, but effective September 11, 2001 this decoration may also be bestowed in lieu of the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in a designated combat theater.
