Thomas Christopher Collins (born January 16, 1947) is a Canadian cardinal of the Catholic Church. He has been the Archbishop of Toronto since 2007. He was previously Bishop of Saint Paul in Alberta from 1997 to 1999 and Archbishop of Edmonton from 1999 to 2006. He was elevated to the rank of Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI on February 18, 2012. Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and parish church in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. A Gothic Revival style building constructed between 1876 and 1888 by architect Joseph Connolly, it is considered Connolly's best work. The ''Guelph Mercury'' was an English language daily newspaper published in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It published a mix of community, national and international news and is owned by the Torstar Corporation. The newspaper, in many incarnations, was a part of the community since 1854. It was one of the oldest broadsheet newspapers in Ontario. Publication was discontinued in late January 2016. Vincent Nguyên Manh Hieu
Vincent Nguyen (born Nguyễn Mạnh Hiếu on May 8, 1966) is an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Toronto. On November 6, 2009 Nguyen was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as one of two new Auxiliary Bishops for the Archdiocese of Toronto along with Bishop William McGrattan. Nguyen was born in South Vietnam and moved to Canada in 1984 just nine years after the Fall of Saigon which ended the Vietnam War. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Divinity from St. Augustine's Seminary in Toronto. He was ordained a priest on 9 May 1998. He then did further studies in Rome, where he received a licentiate in canon law from the Angelicum. From September 2009 to his consecration as bishop, he served as Chancellor and Moderator of the Curia of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Nguyen is Canada's first Bishop of Asian descent. John Michael Sherlock
John Michael Sherlock (January 20, 1926 – August 12, 2019) was a Canadian bishop. He was the Roman Catholic Bishop of London, Ontario, from July 8, 1978 to April 27, 2002. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in Brantford, Ontario. Second eldest of a family of eight, four of his five brothers also studied at the seminary.
