Thomas Booker
Earl Thomas Booker IV (born November 11, 1999) is an American football defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Stanford. College career Booker was a four-star recruit coming out of Gilman School, having grown up in Ellicott City, Maryland. He was then a three-year starter for Stanford, playing in 43 games. In his final season he had 59 tackles and 1.5 sacks, totalling 159 tackles and 10 sacks for his career, along with 20.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and one interception. He was named to All- Pac-12 teams in each of his last 3 seasons and was a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. It was the first draft to be held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The first five selections were defensive players, the second-most taken at the start of a draft after the six in 1991.
